Along with Tech Reviews, Free Software and Tutorials this site is loaded with all the info you need to get you started in the world of multimedia development.

The Media Center, located on the 3rd Floor of the Healey Library is home to multimedia Mac and PC systems, flatbed and slide scanners, color printers and a video/audio editing suite. Computer virus goes into orbit (AFP)

AFP - NASA confirmed on Wednesday that a computer virus sneaked aboard the International Space Station only to be tossed into quarantine on July 25 by security software.

Quicken Errors Infuriate Intuit Customers (PC Magazine)
PC Magazine - Intuit's customers have taken to its message boards to voice their anger about an upgrade to its Quicken software, which produced downloading issues and incorrect stock quotations in customer portfolios. Intuit, meanwhile, now says an updated quotes server is in place as of Wednesday.

Nokia says Samsung accepts offer for Symbian buyout (Reuters)
Reuters - Nokia said on Tuesday Samsung Electronics (005930.KS) had accepted Nokia's (NOK1V.HE) offer to buy out its stake in software firm Symbian, and Nokia now has acceptances from all Symbian shareholders to sell their shares.

Apple Won't Fix iPhone Passcode Hole Until September (NewsFactor)
NewsFactor - The latest iPhone embarrassment is a security hole that makes it simple to access stored data on supposedly locked iPhones. Apple said Thursday that a software patch to solve the problem is in the works.
